Personal data we process
Jachtcentrale processes your personal data because you use our services and/or because you provide these data to us yourself. Below is an overview of the personal data we process:
Special and/or sensitive personal data are not processed by us.
Our website and/or service does not intend to collect data on website visitors who are under 16 years of age, unless they have parental or guardian consent. However, we cannot check in advance whether a visitor is over 16 years old. We therefore advise parents to be involved in their children's online activities to avoid collecting data on children without parental consent. If you are convinced that we have collected personal data about a minor without such consent, please contact us at info@jachtcentrale.nl and we will delete this information.
For what purpose and on what basis do we process personal data?
Jachtcentrale processes your personal data for the following purposes:
Your personal data will not be used for purposes such as direct marketing or other advertising. You will therefore not be contacted by us for purposes other than the purpose for which you contacted us.
If you prefer not to share your personal data with us, we cannot contact you to negotiate the purchase or sale of a vessel.

Jachtcentrale does not, on the basis of automated processing, make decisions about matters that could (significantly) affect individuals. This concerns decisions that are made by computer programmes or systems, without a person (for example an employee of Jachtcentrale) being involved. Decisions are always made by an employee of Jachtcentrale, or a third party authorised by Jachtcentrale.
How long we keep personal data:
Jachtcentrale does not retain your personal data for longer than is strictly necessary to fulfil the purposes for which your data is collected. We use the following retention periods for the following categories of personal data:
Personal details, address details, telephone number and e-mail: if a purchase agreement has been concluded; 7 years due to tax legislation. If no agreement has come about, the data will be kept for two years so that we can still get in touch with you if we can still make you an appropriate offer.
Bank details: if an agreement has been concluded; 7 years due to tax legislation. If no agreement has been concluded, your bank details will not be kept.
IP address: two years, so that contact can still be made if necessary.
Other personal data voluntarily provided by you: two years, so that contact can still be made if necessary.
Sharing personal data with third parties:
Jachtcentrale does not sell your data to third parties and will only provide them if necessary for the execution of our agreement with you or to comply with a legal obligation. With companies that process your data on our behalf, we conclude a processor's agreement to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your data. Jachtcentrale remains responsible for this processing. Jachtcentrale also mediates for its customers, in those cases your personal data, namely name, address, telephone number and e-mail address are shared with a third party. By giving a mediation order you give us your permission to share these data with a third party.

View, change or remove data
You have the right to inspect, correct or remove your personal data. You also have the right to withdraw any permission for data processing or object to the processing of your personal data by Jachtcentrale and you have the right to data portability. This means that you can submit a request to us to send the personal data we hold about you in a computer file to you or another organisation named by you. You can send a request to inspect, correct, delete, transfer your personal data or request the revocation of your consent or objection to the processing of your personal data to info@jachtcentrale.nl. To ensure that the request for inspection is made by you, we ask you to send a copy of your proof of identity with the request. In this copy, black out your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and Citizen Service Number. This is to protect your privacy. We will respond to your request as soon as possible, but within four weeks.
If you request a change or deletion of your personal data, the data on your vessel will be retained. This concerns only data about the vessel that cannot be traced back to you as a person, such as data about the vessel, its condition and the asking-selling price.
If, despite our care, you are not satisfied with the way in which we handle your personal data or with your rights to view, remove or adjust your data, you can lodge a complaint with the supervisory body, the Personal Data Authority. You can do so via the website www.autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.
How we protect personal data
Jachtcentrale takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent abuse, loss, unauthorised access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorised modification.
